At Western we recognise that a pupil's happiness and well-being are the foundation for their success and that it is essential to nurture, not just the academic progress of the child, but to look after the 'whole person'.
We take every opportunity to teach strategies for building social skills, resilience and raising self-esteem. At Western, these are seen as vital steps in preparing our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.
The Junction, found at the heart of the school, offers a safe, confidential and supportive environment to discuss any issues or concerns that may arise for pupils, parents and carers. If you are unsure about who to turn to or where to turn next, the team in 'The Junction' are there to help.
Operating an open door policy, we aim to ensure that concerns are addressed effectively and quickly and that, when necessary, you are signposted in the right direction for the appropriate support.
Please contact the school office who will be happy to answer any queries or provide copies of any of the information displayed on the school's website. We also welcome any feedback you may have. You can contact or find us using any of the details shown on this page.
